"WESTONING, a parish in the hundred of MANSHEAD, county of BEDFORD, 4 miles south-west from Ampthill, containing 634 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Bedford, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £9.17., and in the patronage of John Everett, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene. There is a place of worship for Baptists."
