Browne Willis provides a list of the Abbots of Biddlesden, which he collated from 'old Deeds, and from Fines and other Evidences'. His list is as follows:

"Richard occurs Abbat of Bitlesden Anno 1151, 17 Stephen, about four Years after the Foundation; as does
Alexander, between 1157, and 1166.
Richard died Abbat here, Anno 1192, 3 Ric. I., as the Annales Waverly tell us, in which Mention is made of the deposing Abbat
William, Anno 1198, 9 Ric. I, who was, no doubt, his Successor; to whom succeeded
Adam Cellerer, of Bruern Abby, in Co. Oxon, Anno 1198, 9 Ric. I.
Maurice occurs Abbat Anno 1219, 3 Hen. III, and 1222, 7 Hen. III, as does
Henry, Anno 1226, 10 Hen. III.
Stephen de Canterbury died Abbat, Anno 1228, 12 Hen. III, after him.
Thomas presided here Anno 1230, 14 Hen. III, and 1232, 16 Hen. III.
Giffard Abbat of this Place quitted it Anno 1236, 20 Hen. III, on being made Abbat of Waverly, and was succeeded by
Walter, who occurs Anno 1238, 22 Hen. III, and 1240, 24 Hen. III. His Successor was
Henry Mallore, who received the Benediction from the Bishop of Lincoln, on Palm Sunday, Anno 1241, 25 Hen. III. He held it not long, for
Philip occurs Abbat Anno 1245, 29 Hen. III, and 1250, 34 Hen. III, as does
William, Anno 1254, 38 Hen. III, and 1257, 41 Hen. III, and
Roger, Anno 1259, 43 Hen. III, and 1262, 46 Hen. III. After him I meet with
William, Anno 1264, 48 Hen. III, whose Surname seems to have been Byham: for Anno 1280, 8 Edw. I, and 1285, 13 Edw. I, William Byham subscribes himself Abbat, as does
John Thornberge, Anno 1290, 18 Edw. I, and 1298, 26 Edw. I, after him
Walter occurs Abbat Anno 1300, 28 Edw. I, as does
John de Sarum, Anno 1301, 29 Edw. I, and 1323, 16 Edw. II. His Successor was
Thomas de Buckingham, elected about Anno 1324, 17 Edw. II, to whom succeeded
Roger de Gotham, who occurs Abbat, Anno 1326, 1 Edw. III, and 1329, 3 Edw. III, and 1331, 5 Edw. III. His Successor was
Thomas, who I find succeeded at the End of 1332, 6 Edw. III.
Griffin presided Anno 1341, 15 Edw. III. After him
William de Louteburghe occurs Anno 1346, 20 Ed. III, and 1357, 31 Ed. III, as does
Peter, Anno 1376, 50 Edw. III, and 1393, 16 Ric. II.
John was Abbat 1397, 20 Ric. II. and Anno 1400, 1 Hen. IV. as was
Stephen, Anno 1428. 6 Hen. VI, and also
John, Anno 1469, 9 Edw. IV, and 1479, 19 Edw. IV, and
William, Anno 1480, 20 Edw. IV.
Richard Benet became Abbat about 1495, 10 Hen. VII. He resigned it before 1518, 9 Hen. VIII.
Richard Green, the last Abbat who presided from Anno 1518, 9 Hen. VIII, to the Surrender, as aforesaid, Anno 1539, 30 Hen. VIII"
