1640 thomas sheafe wickham welford brk PCC will 10417
will of thomas sheafe D.D. dated 4 june 1639, parson of welford
to my son grindall my lands and houses in inkpen and hungerford and to his hiers forever
also all my books in my houses at widsor and at wickham in the parish of welford except my book of martyrs and 6 of my better books which my wife is to have (to be chosen by her).
also to grindall the lease of my house at newbery lately a brewhouse £15 for his degree of B.D.
to my son thomas a coppice of wood and cottage at benenden in kent and 2 carpets that my late wife brought to me
to daughter dorothy whitfield a pair of fustian blankets
residue to be divided between my 7 children viz, edmund, grindall, edward, daughter whitfield, daughter weastly, daughter norwood, daughter hesilrige
executors my sons thomas and edmund
signs
witnesses: john wirral, edward burnand [or burnaud]
probate: 2nd march 1640 to thomas and edmund sheafe the sons and executors named in the will
