probate newbury may 20 1756
dated 23 november 1748
i william clarke of kintbury, berks cordwainer
to wife mary clarke 3 tenements recently erected on freehold ground and barn and stables etc and 1 acre in common fields ( west field ) after her decease to grandson thomas cadman if he make his brother benjamin cadman if he be in his minority, a cordwainer and to pay his brother benjamin and his brother jeremiah cadman 1/2 each of the rent of the acre as pocket money in their minority
then the property to benjamin at 21 but if he die to thomas
thomas cadman, son in law ( who married my daughter mary deecased) and thomas cadman his son, to share (1/2 each) the messuage where i now live, to breed up jeremiah to be a cordwainer
stock to grandson thomas who is executor
thomas adam my kinsman trustee
