will of mary winkworth of eddington co berks widow
To my dau mary one bed bedstead and furniture [etc], being my bed and all my wearing apparel. To my son thomas winkworth my blue painted clock and 10 prints in the parlour. The residue of my personal estate to my daughter sarah winkworth, and recommend it to her and much rely on her to take care of her sister mary. An whereas by the will of my late husband bearing the date 5 february 1803 his several messuages tenements lands etc are devised to certain trustees to permit me to receive the rents etc thereof during my life and upon my decease to convey the same to my son john if he shall require the same at £2500. And if he should not require it to sell the same by auction. And my said husband did beqeath all his personal estate to the same trustees, the annual produce thereof to be paid to me during my life and after my decease all the trust fund to be divided between his five children john, elizabeth, hannah, lucy, and sarah in such proportions as i direct.And as my late husbands estate is worth considerably more than £2500. And as my son john will of course take the same at that sum i therefore direct the trustees to give him £10 only and all the residue thereof unto the said elizabeth, hannah, lucy, and sarah in equal shares except that sarah shall have £100 more than the others. Proved at sarum 5 april 1816. Admons to sarah winkworth spinster the sole executrix by virtue of a commission sworn at Hungerford. Effects not more than £200
