1662 joane chappel newbury brk PCC will 7581 the will of joane chappel of newbury widow bartholemew day 1661 [24 august] to be buried in the churchyard of newbury to john rowland of raply £20 to joane rowland £20, my best gown and petticat to john rowland the younger 10s, children [sic] of the said john rowland the elder to nell andrewes of raply £5 daughter of john andrewes to the poor of rapley £5 to the poor of newbury £20 to the poor of speenhamland £5 to john spencer of the devizes all my debts and goods and bonds, and he is to be sole executor. overseers mr nathaniel collings and mr charles russell (5s each), [testator makes mark]. witnesses john clarke, thomas hidden, tobias (x) palmore, william (x) hunt. probate london 1662 20 april to johannis spencer executor named in the will.
