Will of john worrall of hungerford berks, clerk. Dated 13 nov 1640
one english book to friends mistress goddard of standen hussey and m'ris browne of denford.
To mother-in-law m'ris bartlett and to wife jane worrall
To son thomas's 3 children thomas, anne and bridget one sheep each
To dau-in-law jane coverd six sheep
£8 from francis and jane bartlett, grandparents to jane coverd plus £2 (from the testator) i.e £10 in all to jane coverd [who is unmarried and under 21]
The residue shared alike between wife jane and son thomas, except for the silver tankard given to thomas by his mother and the testator's 'soule ring of gold' also to thomas.
Overseers: thomas garrett th'elder of chipping lamborne and robert sandder of collingbourne clerk. The overseers to have 1 book each.
Bound to his son thomas that he shall have £100 and 'my wholle study of books' before the division between his wife and son.
