MELBOURN:

"MELBOURN, a parish in the hundred of ARMINGFORD, county of CAMBRIDGE, Sf miles (N. E, by N.) from Royston, containing 1179 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Ely, rated in the king's books at £19.1. 10., and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Ely. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There are places of worship for Baptists and Independents. Here is a school for the instruction of children, with a small endowment, founded by the Rev. W. Ayloif. A fair is held on the first Wednesday in July."
