"TYDD ST-GILES, a parish in the hundred of WISBEACH, Isle of ELY, county of CAMBRIDGE, 65 miles (N.W. by N.) from Wisbeach, containing 781 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the peculiar jurisdiction and patronage of the Bishop of Ely, rated in the king's books at £21. 13. l. A school is supported by annual subscriptions, amounting to about £16."
