Church History

An ancient chapel to Prestbury: St. Peter, which became the district church for the township of Bosley in 1883. The boundaries of "The District Chapelry of Saint Mary, Bosley" were described in the London Gazette on 16 February 1883:

"All that part of the said parish of Prestbury which is comprised within and is co-extensive with the limits of the said township and chapelry of Bosley".
