Description and Travel
"BAMFORD, a hamlet in the parish of Hathersage, hundred of High Peak, in the county of Derby, 6 miles to the N.W. of Tideswell. Bakewell is its post town. It is in the Peak, near the border of Yorkshire. Bamford Moor is near the village."
