"BRAILSFORD, a parish in the hundred of Appletree, in the county of Derby, 7 miles to the N.W. of Derby, its post town. Ednaston is a hamlet of this parish The living is a rent*. in the diocese of Lichfield, of the value of £673, in the patronage of Earl Ferrers. The Wesleyan Methodists have a chapel here. There are some charities of small value." "EDNASTON, a hamlet in the parish of Brailsford, county Derby, 5 miles S.E. of Ashbourne. Ednaston Lodge is the principal residence."
