GLEANINGS IN THE PEAK AND WEST DERBYSHIRE … “Let us now go into the fields and glean”.
Hope Valley (Bradwell, Hathersage, Bamford, Castleton, Etc.)
It is satisfactory to know that although the movement for a war memorial for the Castleton Wesleyan Church has not been going on long, promises to the amount of £320 have already been received by Mr. John Walker, the secretary, who himself was an officer in the war. And it may be added that carol singers collected £8 for the fund at Christmas.
