Enumeration District No 7
Nether Padley Hamlet (in Hope Parish)
Woodland
Eyam Township (in Eyam Parish) and
Stoke Township (in Hope Parish) are on separate web pages;
however it was not possible to split the description readily, which is as follows:-
"The whole of the Two Townships of Woodland Eyam
and Stoke and the Hamlet of Nether Padley (including Hazzleford:
Leam: Godaridge: Riley: Fall cliff: Hog Hall: Tadgness: Grindleford Bridge:
Mag Clough: Padley Common: Nether Padley: Goatcliff: Knouchley: Stoke
Toll Bar: Stoke Hall and Grindleford Bridge Toll Bar."
The Enumerator was Mr. John Kenyon.
Transcriptions are taken from photocopies (which
I still have) of LDS microfilm #0542987, contributed most generously by
Glenn Trezza. Whilst I have taken every care to transcribe accurately,
mistakes are always possible, so if you spot any errors in transcription,
or if you believe I've interpreted anything wrongly please
contact me,
and I'll be happy to make corrections. Thank you.
Special thanks also to Glenn, for a great contribution
to all our research!
