The War Memorial is sited directly in front of the end wall of St Thomas's Church in Somercotes. It consists of a tall cross set on a large oblong base divided into three panels.
The inscription on the centre panel reads:-
To The Glory
Of God
And In Memory Of The Men
Of This Parish Who Fell
