The South Derbyshire District Council (SDDC) is a regional governing body that works with the Derbyshire County Council and individual parish councils within its region. Those individual parishes are:

Burial records for District cemeteries can be viewed at the District office. Phone first 01-283-595782. The District has cemeteries at: Church Gresley, Etwall, Findern, Marston on Dove, Newhall and Aston on Trent.

Residents of this district, in recent years, have been called "Toe Enders" by some. Apparently due to the location at the "bottom" of Derbyshire (i.e. southernmost). The term is, I believe, from soccer (English football).
