In the name of God Amen the tweluth day of August 1649: I Ames Carder thelder of Arlington in the countey of Deuon husbandman, sicke of body, but thanks be to god almightye of good & pfect memory doe make and ordaine this my last will & testament in manner and forme followinge, viz: ffirst I commend my Soule into the handes of almightye god my creator & redeemer & my body to the earth whereof it came: Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Carder my youngest sonne the full & whole summe of One Hundred Pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto him wthin halfe an yeare after my Decease by my Executrix hereafter named Provided that all the quicke goods wch the said Thomas hath of his owne at the makinge hereof being vallued worth thirtie pounds shall be paied of by my executrix towards the payinge of the said summe: Item I give and bequeath unto Anthony Carder my eldest sonne vpon this my last Will and Testament all the right title claime and interest wch I have in two pcells of grounde called or commonly knowne by the name of the wood pkes, situate and being wthin the pishe of Trenshoue imediately after the decease of Agnes Parker my Daughter then to the use of the said Anthony his executors and assignes duringe all the estate terme and interest wch shalbee then to come & unexpired hee paying therefore unto the said Thomas my youngest sonne his executors or assignes the full summe of Tenne pounds of lawfull money of England wthin within one yeare next after the decease of the said Agnes Parker And also that hee the said Anthony his executors and assignes shall pay unto the fower children of the said Agnis Parker the summe of ffower poundes of lawfull money of England equally to be devided betweene them wthin one yeare next after the decease of the said Agnis Parker, and if it happen that any or either of the said children to dye before they come unto the full age of one and twenty yeares & if it so happen that the same Legacie to fall unto ym before they accomplishe the said full age of xxj yeares, then the pte and porcon of him or them so dyinge shall remaine to ye use of them wch shall bee then survivinge equally to be devided betweene them Provided that if the said Anthony, his executors Admrs or assignes doe refuse to pay unto the said Thomas his executors or assignes the said summe of tenne poundes of lawfull money of England accordinge to the time aboue mentioned Then my intent and true meaning is upon this my last will & testament that the sd Thomas his Executors & assignes shall have all the right aboue mentioned in the said ground during all the terme wch shall be then to come Item I give unto Anne Carder the daughter of Anthony Carder my son two sheepe imediately after my decease All the rest of my goods and chatells not before given & bequeathed my debts legacies and other expences paied I give & bequeath unto Alice my Wife whome I make my whole executrix of this my last will & testament In witnesse whereof I the said Ames Carder thelder have hereunto put my hand and seale the day & yeare aboue written

This Will was proved at Westmr the 14th of ffebruary in the yeare of our Lord (english stile) 1653 before the Judges for pbate of Wills and granting Adions lawfully authorized by the Oath of Alice Carder the Relict and Executx named in the said Will to whome Adion was committed she being sworne by Commission truly to Admter.
