In the Name of God Amen I Wm Guise of ffursley in the Parish of Axminster and County of Devon being in sound and disposing mind and Memory considering all other Uncertainties of this Transitory life do for avoiding Controversies after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in the manner following (that is to say) first I recommend my Soul to God that gave it me and my Body I Commit to the Earth when it shall please God to Order and as for and Concerning all my Worldly Estate I do Give bequeath devise and Dispose thereof unto my well beloved Wife Mary Guise and to my only Daughter Elizabeth Guise and to their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever after some few Legacies is paid herein mentioned that is to say All and Singular my estates Lands Tenements Sum and Sums of Money Goods and Chattels whatsoever as shall be in any ways owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease And I do hereby nominate and Appoint my Wife and Daughter both joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me made at any time heretofore but if my Wife Mary Guise should marry after my decease or happen to die all my Estates Lands Tenements Sum and Sums of Money Goods and Chattels whatsoever shall come directly to my Daughter Elizabeth Guise or if my Daughter should die before marrying or twenty years of Age all my Estates Lands Tenements Sum and Sums of Money Goods and Chattels whatsoever shall come back to my Wife Mary Guise I Give unto my Uncle John Smith Esq. of Great St Helions five pounds for Mourning I Give to my Brother in Law William Webber of Huxton five Pounds I Give unto Mr John Allen of Ilford a former Servant to my Uncle Richd Guise Esq thirty Pounds I Also Give unto my old Servant Hen: ffowler fifty pounds in Case he lives with me until my decease to be paid by my Executors in a twelve Month after my decease I also Give unto my Servant Catherine ffowler fifty pounds to be paid by my Executors in a twelve Month after my decease in Case she lives with me until my decease and I do ordain and Ratify these Presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my hand and Seal the twenty fourth day of March in the eleventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign George the 3rd in the Year of our Lord 1772 Wm Guise

On the sixteenth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy two administration with the Will annexed of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of William Guise late of ffursley in the Parish of Axminster and County of Devon deceased was granted to William Webber the Uncle and Curator or Guardian lawfully assigned to Elizabeth Guise Spinster a Minor the natural and lawful Daughter only Child and one of the Executrixes named in the said will of the said deceased for the use and benefit as well of the said Minor as of Mary Guise Widow the Relict of the said deceased a Lunatick and the other Executrix named in the said Will until she the said Minor shall attain the Age of Seventeen Years or during the Lunacy of the said Mary Guise he having been first sworn duly to administer
