This is the last Will and Testament of me Susannah Burgess of Bideford in the County of Devon Spinster I give and bequeath all my monies effects and personal estate of whatsoever description to Robert Haynes of Westbury in the County of Wilts Esquire upon Trust to sell and turn the whole into money and after payment thereout of my just debts (if any) and my funeral and testamentary expences to divide the surplus and residue thereof equally between my two Nephews Joseph and John Burgess Sons of my late Brother Thomas Burgess and the children of my late Sister Martha Balch or such of them as shall be living at the time of my decease And I appoint the said Robert Haynes Executor in trust of this my Will giving to him and his Representatives all such powers of reimbursement of expences incurred and other indemnities and the most favourable construction of his and their conduct in the said trust and the affairs thereof that Trustees are in any case entitled to In Witness whereof I have hereunto set and subscribed my mark (not being able to write my name) this twentieth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five The X Mark of Susannah Burgess
