BUCKLAND in the MOOR, a parish in the hundred of HAYTOR, though locally in the hundred of Lifton, county of DEVON, 3½ miles (N. W.) from Ashburton, containing 137 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Ashburton, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean and Chapter of Exeter. The church contains a fine wooden screen.
