In the name of God Amen I Robert Pollard late of Clovelly in the County of
Devon mariner being in bodily health & of sound mind and memory and
considering of the dangers of the Seas (and for preventing any Controversy
or Difference after my decease) Do make publish and declare this my last
will and testamt (revoking all other former wills by me made)
in manner following (that is to say) First I command my soul to God that
gave it & my body I committ to the sea or earth as it shall please
God to Order And as for my worldly Estate and affairs I give devise
bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth (that is to say) all Sum
and sums of money Lands Tenemts Goods Chattells Cattles and Estate
whatsoever as shall be in any wise due or belonging to me at the
time of my decease I do give devise and bequeath unto my Dear
beloved wife Martha Pollard her Execrs Admrs for ever
And I do hereby nominate and appoint my sd. Dear wife Martha my whole
and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testamt . In witness
whereof to this my said will I have set my hand & seal the Thirteenth
day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and Forty two
