COMB-RAWLE1GH, a parish in the hundred of AXMINSTER, county of DEVON, 1½ mile (N. N. W.) from Honiton, containing 285 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £20. 0. 10., and in the patronage of J. R. Drewe, Esq. The church, dedicated to St. Nicholas, contains a monument to the memory of John Sheldon, Esq., F.R.S., and anatomical professor, who died in 1808. This parish was formerly denominated Comb-Baunton and Comb-Matthew.
