In the Name of God Amen I Alice Champernowne of Dartington in the County of Devon Widd being weake of body yet perfect in mind and memory doe make and ordaine this be my last will and Testament in manner and forme following Imprimis I doe give and bequeath my soule to the Almighty God my Creator and redeemer and my body to Christian burial Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Daughter Margaret Champernowne my Diamond Ring and my broad peice of Gold Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Sister Waye ffive pounds to be paid within one yeare after my decease by my Executor hereafter named Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Sister Trewhale ffive pounds to be paid unto her by my Executor hereafter named within one yeare after my decease Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Cozen Arthur Champernowne sonne of Arthur Champernowne of Dartington in the County of Devon Esq the sume of Twenty pounds to be paid within one yeare after my decease by my Executor as hee shall think fitt hereafter named and then to be imployed to the best advantage by my Executor hereafter named for the sole benefitt of my said Cozen Arthur untill hee shall come to the age of sixteen yeares Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Cozen Margaret Champernowne the sume of ffifty pounds to be paid within one yeare after my decease by my Executor and then to be imployed to the best advantage by my said Executor as hee shall think fit for the sole benefitt of my said Cozen Margaret until shee shall come to the age of ffifteen yeares Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Cozen Honor Trewhale three pounds and tenne shillings to be paid unto her within one yeare after my decease by my Executor hereafter named Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Cozen George Trewhale One pound and Tenn shillings to be paid unto him by my Executor within one yeare after my decease I doe give and bequeath unto the poore of the pish of Dartington two pounds Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Cozen James Trewhale Twenty shillings to be paid unto him by my Executor within one yeare after my decease Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Cozen Alice Trewhale twenty shillings to be paid by my Executor within one yeare after my decease Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Cozen Ann Bosancoe the wife of Thomas Bosancoe Twenty shillings to be paid by my Executor within one yeare after my decease As for the rest of my goods and chattells not before mentioned given or bequeathed I doe give and bequeath them unto my dear sonne Arthur Champernowne of Dartington in the County of Devon Esq whom I doe make and ordaine to be my whole and sole Executor of this be my last will and Testament In witnesse whereof I have here unto sett my hand and seale the eighteenth Day of February in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand Six hundred eighty one Alice Champernowne Memorandum these words in two places as hee shall think fitt was interlined before the sealing and delivery hereof Signed sealed and published in the presence of the signe of Honor Trewhale the signe of Joane Seawell Samuel Pyne
