Notes on the Ralegh family

Trans. Devon. Assoc. vol. 15 (1883), illus., pedigree, pp. 163-179.

by

T.N. Brushfield

Prepared by Michael Steer

This paper, which is profusely illustrated, was read at the Association's 1883 Exmouth meeting. It focuses on the life and times of Walter Ralegh, father of Sir Walter, and describes in some detail, the sepulchral and other remains of the Ralegh family to be found in the church at East Budleigh. The author claims that these several remains had been incorrectly described, so that his research intends to throw new light on a portion of the Ralegh family pedigree. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the University of Michigan Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
