The Church of All Saints, East Budleigh, pt. I.

Trans. Devon. Assoc. vol. 23 (1891) pp. 239-306.

by

T.N. Brushfield

Prepared by Michael Steer

The paper, read at the Association's 1891 Tiverton meeting is the first in a series of three. Its focus is on the building's architecture, essential fittings, internal monuments and windows; and as well, a general history of the church. Budleigh was in earlier days a thriving wealthy merchant town, due to the seaport of Budleigh Haven at the mouth of the River Otter. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the University of Michigan Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
