The Churchwardens' Accounts of East Budleigh
Trans. Devon. Assoc. vol. 26 (1894) pp. 237-295.
by
T.N. Brushfield
Prepared by Michael Steer
This paper supplements Brushfield's earlier paper on the history of All Saints Church and focuses on the Warden's records from 1663 to 1836, as well as those from the contiguous parishes of Otterton, Bicton, Littleham and Woodbury. These documents contain many items related to the administration, discipline, and general arrangements of the church, as well as various secular matters that its congregation supported. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the University of Michigan Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
