In the Name of God Amen I Ann Treffry widow of the Parish of East Stonehouse in the County of Devon being of a sound and disposing Mind and Memory and considering the Dangers and Uncertainties of this transitory life do for avoiding Controversies after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say ffirst I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my Body to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to order and as for all my Worldly Estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth that is to say all my Wearing Apparel Household ffurniture Wages Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattels and Estate whatsoever as shall be in any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I give devise and bequeath the same unto my beloved Daughter Elizabeth Treffry except a plain Gold Ring to my dear son Samuel Treffry likewise a plain gold Ring to my dear Daughter Ann Chandler likewise a gold Mourning Ring to my son in law John Chandler likewise a pair of Silver Buckles to my dear Grandson Joseph Chandler likewise a gold Mourning Ring to my Dear Daughter Jenny Baylis And I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Elizabeth Treffry my dearly beloved Daughter Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me at any time heretofore made and I do ordain and ratify these Presents to stand and be for my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my Hand and Seal the twenty fourth day of May and in the twenty fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third over Great Britain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five The Mark of X Ann Treffry Signed Sealed and Published in the Presence of us John Cluse _ James Shopland
