Appeared Personally George Perriam of Budleigh Salterton in the County of Devon Baker and Confectioner and Joseph Perriam of the parish of Saint Thomas the Apostle in the said County of Devon Master Mariner_________
the _____ Executors named in the last Will and Testament with a Codicil thereto___________ of George Perriam______________
late of the City of Exeter Gentleman deceased who died on or about the Thirteeneth day of September 1853 and made oath that the Estate and Effects of the said deceased, which they any way died possessed of or entitled to within the ARCHDEACONRY OF EXETER, and for or in respect of which a Probate of the said Will is to be granted, exclusive of what the deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any other person or persons, and not beneficially, (a) but including the Leasehold Estates for Years of the deceased whether absolute or determinable on Lives, and without deducting any thing on account of the Debts due and owing from the deceased, are under the Value of Two Hundred Pounds, to the best of the Deponents knowledge, information and belief, (b) And he lastly make Oath, that the said deceased was not possessed of or entitled to any Leasehold Estate or Estates for Years either absolute or determinable on Lives, to the best of h knowledge, information, and belief.

This is the Last Will and Testament of one George Perriam of the City of Exeter and County of Devon Gentleman I give devise and bequeath unto my Wife Mary Perriam all and singular my Landed and Leasehold Property Goods and Chattels Monies and Credits for and during the term of her natural Life and from and after the death of my said Wife I give devise and bequeath unto and between my Children George Perriam, Joseph Perriam, Mary Ann Hamlin, William Perriam and John Perriam all and singular my Landed and Leasehold Property Goods and Chattels share and share alike and as regards this my bequest to my said Daughter Mary Ann Hamlin I will that it be for her own sole and separate use and benefit separate and apart from her present or any future Husband or Husbands and not in any manner subject to his or their control or liabilities and provided that my said Children cannot agree as to the division or distribution among themselves of my said Property then I will that the whole be sold and the proceeds thereof equally divided between tham share and share alike All the rest residue and remainder of my Property whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever I give devise and bequeath unto and between all my said Children share and share alike and I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Sons George and Joseph Perriam joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament Inwitness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of October One thousand eight hundred and forty nine

This is a Codicil to the annexed Will and Testament of me George Perriam, whereas in consideration of my Son George Perriam having laid out a sum of Thirty Pounds upon my Landed Property situate at East Budleigh I hereby give devise and bequeath unto my said Son George Perriam the Sum of Thirty Pounds in addition to his share as set forth in my annexd Will.---------
