Edward Young, DD, Dean of Exeter between 1662-3, having been Dean of Salisbury and was also Rector of Uplowman near Tiverton. He died in 1663, aged about 70, and is perhaps best remembered as the father of the celebrated poet Edward Young. His Will provides generous bequests to St Katherine's Almshouses in Exeter, the cathedral choristers, and to the relief of prisoners held in Exeter's castle. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the New York Public Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
