In the name of God Amen

The twentieth daie of June in the year of our lord god One thousand sixe hundred twentie five, I Roger Webber of the Cittie of Exeter Merchant though weake and sicke of bodie yett of sound and perfect memorie thanks be to God Doe make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge
First I thanke god for all his benefitts which through his great mercie I have and doe inioye [enjoy] but espially [especially] for my Redemption and Salvation in Christ Jesus in and by whose death and passsion I hope to inheritt everlasting lief in the Kingdome of Heaven and therefore in the assurance of a glorious resurrection I comend by bodie after the end of this transitorie lief to be buried in the earth in a decent and Christian manner
Item I give and bequeath unto Mr John Nicse (?) and Mr. [blank] Shute Preachers of the word of god tenne shillings a peece
To John Webber my Sonne in money Fortie poundes
To Anne Webber my daughter in money Fortie poundes
Alsoe I give and bequeath unto the said Anne Webber my daughter all my estate right by the interrest terme of yeares possession reversion and de.......... whatsoever of in and to all that my tenement or dwellinge house with the appurtenances togeather with all the Implements of houshold in and to the same belonginge or appertaineinge, situate lying and being within the Towne of Southmolton in the Countie of Devon wherein one Alice Spurrey widdow latelie dwelles
Item I give and bequeath unto my brother in lawe Francis Dyett my best sute of apparell
And to my Sister Anne Dyett his wief Twentie shillinges in money to putt in a ringe
To my Sister Joane Griffen widdowe ten shillinges in money to putt in a ringe
To my Sister Agnes Badcocke tenne shillinges in money to put in a ringe To Jane Canaver my maidservant tenne shillinges in money
To my lovinge frendes Walter White, John Pearce of Exeter Mauchants and to my said Brother in lawe Francis Dyett Twentie shillinges a peece
Item I give and bequeath towards the maintenance of an Hospitall within the Cittie and Countie of Exeter if the same be builded and finished within three yeares next after my death tenne poundes in money
The residue of all my goodes Chattells Merchandizes plate Jewells readdye money and debts to me owinge before by me not given nor bequeathed I give and bequeath unto my children John Webber Anne Webber Batshua Webber Elizabeth Webber Grace Webber Dorcas Webber and Precilla Webber equallie to be devided amonge them all
And if anie of my said children happen to die before they shall accomplish theire severall ages of one and Twentie yeares or be married that then the parte legacie and porcion of everie such childe or children soe deceasing shall remayne come and be to and amonge all the rest of my said children then livinge and unmarried to be equallie devided among them
And I doe make constitute and appoint the aforesaid Walter White John Pearce Francis Dyett to be the executors in trust of this my last will and testament desireinge them to ........ the same instlie [instantly] and trulie performed and not to breake alter or change anie parte or parcell thereof
In witness whereof I the said Roger Webber have hereunto put my hand and seale yearen [herein] the date and yeare first above written
Roger Webber signed sealed and published by the above named Roger Webber as his last will and testament in the presence of theis persons whose names are subscribed
