FARWAY, a parish in the hundred of COLYTON,county of DEVON, 3 miles (S. by E.) from Honiton,containing 346 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, inthe archdeaconry and diocese of Exeter, rated in theking's books at £15. 6. 8., and in the patronage of theRev. T. Putt. The church, dedicated to St. Michael,has some piers and other portions in the Norman style.A school was endowed in 1795, by Mrs. HannahAtkinson, with the dividends of certain stock, producingabout £7 10. per annum.
