KELLY, a parish in the hundred of LIFTON, countyof DEVON, 4¾ miles (E. S. E.) from Launceston, containing218 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in thearchdeaconry of Totness, and diocese of Exeter, ratedin the king's books at £9 8. 9. and in the patronage of the Trustees of - Kelly, a minor. The church isdedicated to St. Mary. In the vicinity is RomsdenCastle, an ancient encampment with a single vallum.
