EXMOUTH, April 9, 1801
WE the Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Privates of the SECOND EXMOUTH COMPANY of VOLUNTEERS, do publicly declare our determined Resolution of supporting the Civil Power, in supressing Riots and Tumult, and standing forward in Defence of the Laws of our Country, agreeably to the Oath we have taken.

WE, the Officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and Privates of the NEWTON ABBOT COMPANY of VOLUNTEER INFANTRY, animated by the purest and most loyal Affections for our Sovereign and our Country, take this Opportunity of declaring it to be our most solemn Resolution, collectively and individually to support the Laws of this Realm; and of offering as well our unlimited Servces to suppress all riotous and unlawful Assemblies, collected for any Purpose whatsoever.
