In the Name of God Amen I Richard Bishop of Modbury in the County of Devon Hellier being in good Health of Body and of a sound and disposing Mind and Memory thanks be given to God do make declare and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) In the first place my Will and desire is that all my just Debts be paid as soon after my Death as may be Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Nephew Richard Bishop (Son of my late Brother George Bishop of Modbury aforesaid Hellier deceased) All that my Messuage or Dwelling House with the Appurtenances in Gallopin street in Modbury aforesaid now in the several possessions of John Shepheard John Walters and Agness Parnell his Heirs and Assigns forever Also I give devise and bequeath all that my other Messuage or Dwelling house with the Appurtenances in Powndwell street in Modbury aforesaid unto Richard Hoskin (Son of my Brother in Law Stephen Hoskin of Modbury aforesaid Yeoeman) his Heirs and Assigns forever, Also I give devise and bequeath all that Orchard with the Appurtenances in Gallopin street aforesaid now in my possession unto my Sister Elizabeth Whiting Widow Grace Winsor (the daughter of William Winsor the younger of Modbury aforesaid Weaver) and Mary Bishop (daughter of my late Brother George Bishop of Modbury aforesaid Hellier deceased) during their joint Lives and the longest liver of them, keeping the said Orchard full Treed as it now is and the Hedge and Wall thereof in good Repair, paying two shillings Chief Rent Yearly out of the said House unto my Niece Susannah Hoskin, And after their decease I Give and devise the same unto the said Susannah Hoskin her Heirs and Assigns for ever Also I give and bequeath all that my other Messuage or Dwelling House with the Appurtenances in Gallopin Street in Modbury aforesaid unto Elizabeth Winsor (Daughter of the said William Winsor) and her Assigns during my right and Interest therein but if she dyes before she arrives at the Age of Twentyone Years Then I give and bequeath the same unto her Sister the said Grace Winsor during also my right and Interest therein Also I give devise and bequeath all that my said Messuage or Dwelling House in Gallopin street aforesaid with the Appurtenances (after the Death of my said Nephew Richard Bishop) unto the said Mary Bishop and Elizabeth Bishop my Niece their Heirs and Assigns forever Also I give and bequeath all that my other Messuage or Dwelling House in Brownston Street in Modbury aforesaid unto my Brother in Law Stephen Hoskin in trust for my Sister Grace Winsor he paying her the yearly income of the said House Monthly during her Life Also I give unto my brother in Law William Winsor a Debt of Eleven Pounds and sixteen shillings which he owes me Also I give unto my Sister Elizabeth Whiting Widow the Sum of forty shillings which will belong to me out of a certain Clubb called the Prior Society at my decease kept in Modbury aforesaid, Also I give my two best Beds performed unto Grace Winsor and Elizabeth Winsor Daughters of the said William Winsor All the rest and residue of my Goods Chattels Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever not herein before by me given devised or bequeathed I do hereby give devise & bequeath unto my said brother in Law Stephen Hoskin requesting him to see my brothers Son Richard Bishop taken proper Care of and my Will duly performed In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal and published and declared this to be my last Will this Tenth day of December in the Twelfth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc. and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one Richard Bishop

Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named Richard Bishop the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our Names as Witnesses
