The Plymouth Company

Trans. Devon. Assoc. vol. 14, (1882), pp. 337-363.

by

R.N. Worth

Prepared by Michael Steer

The Plymouth Company was a joint stock company founded in 1606 by James I, to establish settlements on the coast of North America. Its territory was the coast of North America from the 38th parallel to the 45th parallel, but being part of the Virginia Company and Colony, The Company as well, owned a large portion of Atlantic and Inland Canada. Worth's aim was to afford the reader a clear idea of the Company, and the nature of its work, also to clarify its relations with Devon and Plymouth. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the Princeton University Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
