No. 1 For EXECUTORS.

William Jarvis of Weymouth in the Parish of Malborough in the County of Devon Yeoman sole Executor named in the last will and Testament (A) of William Jarvis of Widdemore within the parish of South Huish in the said County yeoman who died on the Eighth Day of March 1826 (B) maketh the Oath and saith that (C) he has made diligent search and due enquiry after and in respect of the Personal Estate and Effects if the said Deceased, in order to ascertain the full amount of value thereof; and that to the best of his knowledge, information and belief, the whole of the Goods, Chattels, and Credits, of which the said Deceased died possessed, within the (D) Archdeaconry of Totnes, in the Province of Canterbury, (exclusive of what the Deceased may have been possessed of, or intitled to as a Trustee for any other Person or Persons, and not beneficially, but including the Leasehold Estates for years, of the Deceased, whether absolute or determinable on Lives, and without deducting anything on account of the Debts due and owing from the Deceased) are under the value of Four Hundred and fifty Pounds and this Deponent further (E) saith that the said Deceased had (F) no Personal Estate and Effects at the time of his decease within the Province of York to which he this Deponent (G) need to Administer.

Every such Affidavit to be exempt from Stamp Duty, and to be transmitted to the Commissioners of Stamps, together with a Copy of the Will to which it shall relate, under Penalty of £50.

In the name of God Amen I William Jarvis Widmore within the parish of South Huish in the County of Devon yeoman, being in an infirm state of bodily health but of sound and disposing mind for which I praise God do make and declare this Writing to be and contain my last Will and Testament in manner following. That is to say First I devise and direct all my just Debts and funeral charges and the expenses of proving this will to be paid and discharges by my Executor hereinafter named as then as conveniently may be after my decease and subject thereto I do give and bequeath to my nieces Elizabeth the wife of Stephen Bickford of Churchston and Mary the wife of Thomas Adams and to my nephews James Fairweather and Jarvis Fairweather the sum of Fifteen Pounds to each of them. Also I give and bequeath to my nieces Elizabeth White Jarvis Mary the wife of John Huxham and Ann Jarvis (daughters of my brother Abraham Jarvis) the sum of twenty pounds to each of them. Also I give and bequeath to my niece Jane the wife of Samuel Nicholson of Plymouth Baptist Minister the sum of fifty pounds. Also I give and bequeath to Mary Ann White daughter of John White and Mary his wife formerly of [H......] but now both deceased the sum of [....] pounds and also I give and bequeath to the preacher of the Baptist Chapel situate in or near the Village of Malborough and within the parish of West Alvington in the said County the sum of ten pounds for the use of the Chapel. The said several legacies [..................................] and paid at the end of six calendar months next after my decease And do give and bequeath the sum of one hundred pounds or such other sums of money as I am or shall be entitled to or interested in under the will of my late sister Mary the wife of Philip House (after his life interest therein) unto my nephew William Jarvis son of my brother Abraham Jarvis. And I do give and devise unto my said nephew William Jarvis all that my undivided fourth part or share estate and interest whatsoever of and in all those fields or closes of land and hereitaments called Stanteford's Hills or by whatsoever the name or names the same may be called or known situate lying and being within the parish of West Alvington aforesaid formerly the Estate of my late uncle William Hele deceased To hold the same with the appurtenances unto and to the only use of my said nephew William Jarvis his heirs and assigns forever And as to all the rest and residue of my monies securities for money [.........] owing to me goods and chattels and all other any Estate both real and personal and effects whatsoever I do give devise and bequeath the same and every part [.....] (subject to the payment of any debts funeral charges and legacies aforesaid ) unto and for the only one and benefit of my said nephew William Jarvis his heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever or for and during all my estate right and interest therein respectfully And I do make and constitute and appoint my said nephew William Jarvis to be the sole Executor of this my will and I do hereby revoke and [.....] [.....] [.....] all and every Will and Wills which I have heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunder set my hand and seal this Twenty ninth day of November in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty five.
