THELBRIDGE, a parish in the hundred of WITHERIDGE, county of DEVON, 7¼ miles (E. by S,) from Chulmleigh, containing 168 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £10. 6. 5½., and in the patronage of Mr. and Mrs. Daubney. The church is dedicated to St. David. Four children are educated for the interest of £40, bequeathed by Penelope Sydenham.
