WELLCOMBE, a parish in the hundred of HARTLAND, county of DEVON, 5¾ miles (S. W. by S.) from Hartland, containing 247 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, endowed with £1600 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Perpetual Curate of Hartland. The church is dedicated to St. Nectan.
