WILLAND, a parish in the hundred of HALBERTON, county of DEVON, 2¼ miles (N. N. E.) from Cullompton, containing 289 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £7. 10. 5., and in the patronage of the Salter family. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The river Culme runs through the parish.
