This web page contains brief information about the Bristol Record Office, provided as a separate item for ease of updating, and for referral from elsewhere in the GENUKI/Gloucestershire hierarchy.Details of its location, hours of opening, &c. are available on the Bristol Record Office website.
They have a downloadable (.PDF) Index of Bristol Wills, 1793-1858, and you can search their Catalogue online. The Catalogue is a very valuable resource, as whilst the original records themselves are not available, some catalogue entries provide almost as much information as you would need from the originals.
I speak from personal experience here, having searched specific original documents (Parish Chest papers - Settlement, Removal, &c.) and compared the information I extracted with that in the Bristol Catalogue entries. However, you, of course will never be sure of that yourself unless you look at the originals as well!
