AYLBURTON, Gloucestershire

- "AYLBURTON, a chapelry in the parish of Lydney, and hundred of Bledisloe, in
the county of Gloucester, 8 miles to the N.E. of Chepstow. Blakeney is its
post town. It is situated about 2 miles from the western bank of the river
Severn. The living is a perpetual curacy attached to the vicarage of
Lidney, in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol. The church is dedicated
to St. Mary. There are some charitable endowments amounting to £16 per
annum."
