BADGINGTON, (or Bagendon), a parish in the hundred of Crowthorne and Minety, in the county of Gloucester, 3 miles to the N. of Cirencester, its post town. It is situated on the river Churn, which is crossed by Bearidge Bridge. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol, value £191, in the patronage of the Principal and Fellows of Jesus College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to St. Margaret.
