BAUNTON, Gloucestershire - Extract from National Gazetteer, 1868

"BAUNTON, a parish in the hundred of Crowthorne and Minety, in the county of Gloucester, 2 miles to the N. of Cirencester. The Fosse Way passes through the parish. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol, value £67, in the patronage of Lisa Masters. The church is dedicated to St. Christopher."
