- "BUSSAGE, a tything in the parish and hundred of Bisley, in the county of
Gloucester, 4 miles to the E. of Stroud, which is a station on the Great
Western railway. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of
Gloucester and Bristol, value £30, in the patronage of the bishop. The
church is dedicated to St. Michael."
