"CHARLTON ABBOTS, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of Kiftsgate, in the county of Gloucester, 2,2, miles from Winchcombe, and 5 from Cheltenham, its post town and railway station. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol, value £38, in the patronage of 0. J. Chamberlayne, Esq. The church is a small ancient structure."
