• "FRAMPTON, a tything in the parish of Sapperton, hundred of Bisley, county Gloucester, 3 miles N.E. of Minchinhampton. Cirencester is its post town. The living is a curacy annexed to the rectory of Sapperton, in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol. The church is a structure of recent date."
