"GRETTON, a hamlet and chapelry in the parish of Winchcombe, hundred of Kiftsgate, county Gloucester, 2 miles N.W. of Winchcombe. Here is a chapel-of-ease, the living of which is a curacy annexed to Winchcombe. There is also a small Wesleyan chapel." "GREET, a hamlet in the parish of Winchcombe, hundred of Lower Kiftsgate, county Gloucester, 2 miles from Winchcombe, and 14 N.E. of Gloucester. It is situated under the Cotswold hills, near the river Isborne."
