National Gazetteer (1868) - Durley

"DURLEY, a parish in the hundred of Lower Bishop's Waltham, in the county of Hants, 32 miles S.W. of Bishop's Waltham, and 4 E. of Bishopstoke railway station. Upham is its post town. A small stream runs on the E. of the village. It contains the hamlet of Mincingfield. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Winchester, value £410, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is a very ancient structure, with steeple and three bells."
