"BIRLEY, a parish in the hundred of STRETFORD, county of HEREFORD, 4 miles (E. by N.) from Weobley, containing 119 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, consolidated with that of King's Pion, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £5. 9. 7., and endowed with £200 royal bounty.
