BROCKHAMPTON, Herefordshire - Extract from National Gazetteer, 1868
"BROCKHAMPTON, a parish in the hundred of Greytree, in the county of Hereford, 6 miles to the N. of Ross. It is situated on the banks of the river Wye, not far from the Hereford, Ross, and Gloucester branch of the Great Western railway. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Hereford, worth £74, in the patronage of the dean and chapter. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. Near the village is a Roman camp."
